That’s why we seek to create a cool, nostalgic and comfortable experience for our customers, while continually maintaining a fun, challenging and supportive work environment for our staff.  North Hollywood is so fortunate that Phil’s Diner has been able to return thanks to a great network of supporters.  We hope that Phil’s Diner will be a cornerstone for community involvement and a friendly place for everyone to enjoy.

Planet

Without a healthy planet people cannot exist and businesses cannot thrive.  For this reason Phil’s Diner will always consider the environment when making our business decisions both short term and long term.  As environmental awareness increases, it is becoming easier to make good choices in business but we are still pioneers in a lot of ways.  We may not always make the best choice or the right choice but we promise to do our best.

Profit

In order to be a sustainable business, we have to be profitable.  These three values in business, people, planet, and profit are called the 3P’s.  Together these values help to create a balanced business model, which we believe is the winning combination and the backbone of our operation.  For this reason, we won’t make the claim of buying only organic and local.  We promise to do so when it makes sense and we believe that most of the time it makes sense.  However, since we’re still in the pioneer stage of this new way of doing business sometimes organic and local might be way out of our price range and we certainly don’t want to pass those costs onto our customers.  Our goal is to find that sweet spot where we offer you nothing but the best and with that in mind we can’t go wrong.

Business Concept

Phil's Diner is the start of a greater vision for the LLC.  The name of the restaurant has been changed to Phil's Diner Fresh-n-Fast.  "Fresh-n-Fast" will become the name of a further reaching chain of fast food restaurants with a business model that incorporates land acquisition, organic and local supply along with the use of innovative technologies to reduce each restaurant's carbon footprint.  The company plans to incorporate a non-profit arm to encourage community involvement with the ultimate goal of each restaurant growing its own produce.

We aim for quality, while keeping our prices reasonable.  We look to create flavorful food and an inviting atmosphere.  We seek to learn and teach others how to do business in a sustainable way.

We understand what you love and we’re not trying to take that away from you.  Give us the opportunity to show you another way!  Our menu includes those nostalgic comfort foods but let’s be honest, we all eat out way more these days, right?  So a few salads, wraps and nutritious sandwiches to mix it up is the best way to approach life with your health, waistline and happiness in mind.  Let us teach you.

We know you’re on a budget so we keep those prices down without sacrificing the nutrition, the flavor or the experience.

Finally, we have kept in mind what decade you’re in and we know you are short on time most of the time . . . so we make it quick, but we give you the option to stay and have a beer on your one night that isn’t planned.
